I am currently nannying fulltime for a wonderful family in Austin, but I am still available to help out other Austin families at night or on the weekends - new parents typically find two or three weeks of nights especially helpful in getting adjusted to their new baby.
During my stay, I put the baby on a feeding schedule; and I help the parents understand their baby's signals indicating hunger, discomfort, and sleepiness and how to deal with each of those signals. I teach both parents how to take care of their baby. (Dad can do more than change dirty diapers!) I also will teach the new mother how to breastfeed if she plans to breastfeed or, if she's not breastfeeding, I will feed the baby whenever the parents are sleeping and at any other times they would like for me to do so. I also am happy to assist with or take care of any other baby-related matters that the parents would like. When I leave your home at the end of my service to you, I will provide you with written guidelines on the care of your baby.
In addition to service to new parents who recently came home from the hospital, I also offer service to parents who want to go on vacation. I will either take care of your infant in your home while you are gone, or I will travel with you and your infant. I also offer baby-sitting in Austin, when I am available.

"Judy was a huge help as we were first-time parents and very nervous. We learned so much from her and continue to use her techniques on our 9-month-old little girl. We thought she was so helpful that we are planning on using her with all our children. Even my mother agreed she was a great resource!"

"We had Judy the first week we were home with [our baby]. She was fantastic. She brought me the baby for feedings at night and handled everything else which allowed me to get some extra rest."
Stefanie, Austin, TX
"Judy nannied for us for 3 months, caring for our 3-month old son during the day, keeping our house straight, and doing his laundry. In addition to being very loving and fun with our son, she also helped further his development with her vast knowledge of baby products, practices, and activities. She truly is a newborn expert."
